A Beautiful Quilt Raffle and Great Binding Tutorial

This is not the best picture I have ever taken, but this is a beautiful quilt.  It’s being raffled by the Evening Stars Quilt Guild in Davison, Michigan.  Called “Winter Rhapsody,” it is a French Braid quilt, approx. 96” x 96”, made and freehand machine quilted by Suzie Berberich.  The drawing will be held Wednesday, October 27th, 2010 at 8:00 PM.  You don’t need to be present to win.  Tickets are $1.00 each.Evening Star Quilt Raffle #X74317I have tickets… if you are interested, please contact me (caron mosey at gmail dot com).

I found a great binding tutorial over at Karen’s place:

“Lump-less” Binding Tutorial.  This makes the last part of adding the binding much easier, and I’ll be sure to try this on my next quilt finish, which should be within the month.

  1. I have gotten so many people saying they will try this method of binding!! I could not believe how it makes the end so easy I was so glad I saw it demonstrated the other night. I'm so glad it is helping quilters. I wish I had known of it earlier.
